Frequently Ask Questions
Check out all that we have to offer for you & your furry friend!
How is boarding different from a kennel?
Our in-home boarding offers a personalized, home-like environment for your pets, unlike traditional kennels that can feel stressful and impersonal. At Always Home Pet Sitting, your pets receive one-on-one attention and care in a familiar setting, reducing anxiety and ensuring they feel comfortable while you’re away.
Do you accept all dogs?
We welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes, provided they are friendly and non-aggressive. Each dog will undergo a brief assessment to ensure compatibility with our environment and the other pets in our care, guaranteeing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
How do you handle medications?
We are experienced in administering medications to pets, whether oral, topical, or injectable. During our meet-and-greet, we will discuss your pet’s specific medication needs and establish a schedule to ensure they receive the proper care while you’re away.
What's the meet-and-greet like?
The meet-and-greet is an opportunity for you to introduce your pet to us and for us to learn more about their personality, preferences, and needs. It typically lasts 30 minutes to an hour and allows us to discuss care routines, safety protocols, and answer any questions you may have to ensure a seamless experience.
Can you care for cats or other animals?
Yes! In addition to dogs, we care for cats and other small animals. Our diverse experience allows us to provide quality care tailored to the needs of different species, ensuring every pet receives the attention and affection they deserve.
What happens if my trip is delayed?
If your trip is unexpectedly delayed, simply contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request for extended care, ensuring your pet remains comfortable and cared for throughout the duration of your absence.
Do you have backup in case of emergencies?
Absolutely! We have a carefully selected network of professional pet sitters who can step in if needed, ensuring your pet continues to receive high-quality care. Additionally, we have established emergency protocols in place to handle any unforeseen situations swiftly and effectively.
